In a preview for the show, Nick's wife Elsa walks into the supermarket and overhears a revealing conversation between Tracy Barlow and Leanne Battersby
NICK Tilsley's secret is out after his wife Elsa follows his lover Leanne Battersby and discovers their affair.
It will kick off on the cobbles when the newcomer finds out about her cheating hubby's romance.
In a preview for the show, Nick's wife Elsa will be seen walking into a supermarket and overhearing a conversation between Tracy Barlow and Leanne Battersby.
The upcoming scene sees Tracy stumble across Leanne buying some wine and immediately enquire into her purchase.
After teasing her for having "midday drinking on your own,” the florist prods, “oh don’t tell me the spinster’s pulled?”
Tracy then asks Leanne if her secret lover is married or engaged, to which the receptionist confirms he’s neither before telling her to mind her own business.
Realising who the mystery man is, Tracey says: “Oh Battersby’s gone back to her ex…talk about scraping the barrel.”
Leanne laughes: “Says you.”
Clearly defensive, Tracy quips back: “Listen love, me and Steve are soulmates where as you and Nick Tilsley are just a car crash waiting to happen.”
Both women are completely oblivious to the fact that Nick’s secret wife Elsa is standing nearby and can hear the exchange.
Leanne, clearly riled up, replies: “Do you know what Tracy I’m not going to let you spoil my day when I have a fit bloke waiting for me at home, you have a nice afternoon I know I will."
She then storms out the shop.
And Elsa - now equipped with the new information - immediately follows hot on her heels, no doubt to try and catch her cheating hubby in the act with his lover.
Elsa has been ruffling feathers since her Corrie debut two days ago.
After arriving on the cobbles, Nick told Carla Connor that Elsa was the wife of a business partner in Nottingham that he’d gone into business with her for tax purposes.
But Carla discovered the truth when she found a wedding ring hidden in Nick’s car.
After Elsa arrived, Nick spotted her and whisked her off to ask her for a divorce.
Later, Elsa approached Carla and asked her if she was having an affair with Nick.
Carla revealed she was Nick’s business partner and Elsa revealed she is Nick’s secret wife.
Elsa is played by British actress Kelly, who is best known for a long- running role on Casualty as paramedic Nikki Marshall.
