BOB Hope is left devastated on Emmerdale when he overhears his ex Brenda saying it would be easier if he wasn’t around.

In tonight’s episode Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) opens up to Doug Potts (Duncan Preston) about not wanting to get back together with Bob (Tony Audenshaw).

Talking about their relationship Brenda admits she’s different to when they first met, telling Doug: “I know I was second best when I married Bob and nothing has changed since then except now I can look myself in the mirror.”

As Bob comes down the stairs, he can heard Doug ask: “Does Bob know that though?”

Looking concerned he added: “He is prone to misjudging situations.”

Brenda replied: “He can be a bit dense but he knows it’s over. I felt sorry for him. Huddled in the bus stop looking all lost and pathetic.”

She added: “It’s awkward for everyone. I am sorry I bothered. It would be far better if he was just gone.”

After hearing her harsh words, Bob appears on the verge of tears but will he actually leave the village?

Later this week viewers will watch as his relationship with Laurel comes to an end in The Woolpack in front of everyone.

Laurel is mortified when she sees Bob stripping after he organises a strippers night – and the dancers cancel forcing him to step in.

He tries to pull her up to dance with him, but she’s really not impressed and ends up pushing him over.

She then completes his humiliation by announcing they’re over in front of the packed pub.
