Strictly’s Shirley Ballas slams ‘nasty and disgusting’ fans who accused her of ‘having beef’ with Faye Tozer after ‘undermarking’ her on Saturday
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Shirley Ballas has slammed trolls who have accused her of having a personal hate campaign against Faye Tozer.
The judge, 58, was blasted for "undermarking" the Steps star over the weekend, but has now set the record straight with her own candid social media post.
Shirley first shared an inspirational quote by Lori Deschene that read: "No matter what you do, someone will have something negative to say.
Try not to take it personally. People judge and criticize other people's lives when they're not happy with their own.
"Follow your heart. Do what's right for you. It's great to consider how your choices will affect the people around you. Just know you don't need everyone's approval to be happy."
Shirley captioned it: 'I love this I was sent today. After all the negative people and such nasty disgusting comments I received, I post this for anyone out there who has to deal with nasty people."
The dancer was blasted by Strictly viewers on Saturday after criticising Faye and Giovanni Pernice's energetic jive to Reet Petite.
Despite the rest of the judging panel praising the routine, Shirley was underwhelmed, telling the singer: "Well I think it was very confident and extremely capable.
"I think you are an outstanding dancer, I want to say that first.
"But we're now going into Blackpool week and most people are fighting, truly fighting, for the position - I think it lacks for me, changes of energy."

After scoring Faye an 8, the lowest point on the panel, viewers raged on Twitter: "Shirley hates Faye mind...an 8...get a grip @ShirleyBallas #Strictly."
Another seethed: "I was so confused by Shirley's comment. Has she got some kind of beef with Faye or something? I thought she was brilliant! #Strictly."
"Shirley was really overly harsh on Faye. I get the feeling she doesn't like her she always seems to undermark her #Strictly," a third claimed.
