SUSANNA Reid has revealed she has been teetotal for two months in a bid to lose weight.
The Good Morning Britain present has been off the booze since early September to help slim down, but has admitted "I really miss it".
In a new interview, the TV star, 47, revealed a doctor had warned her she had crept up to the "top end" of the body mass index scale.
Speaking on the podcast, Susanna explained why booze was the first thing to go.
She said: "When you cut alcohol out that is an easy couple of pounds.
"As you get older your memory is affected. I just thought 'alcohol is not great for your memory'."
However, she admitted that going to teetotal had been a struggle with her social life.
The mum of three elaborated: "I really miss it.
"When you are in a big social group and the shots come out, I miss letting my hair down."
She asked her co-host Piers Morgan for praise about still turning up to work, but he didn't seem in the mood for sympathy.
Susanna said: "Do you admire me for my resilience this morning?
"It's not very professional is it?
"I burnt myself on the toaster and then I got a really massive blister.
"I thought, shall I pop the blister or not? I did and now it's infected."

Recognising that Piers seemed uninterested, Susanna added: "Come on, you've got to praise me for dragging myself into work this morning despite the fact I'm injured."
He simply replied: "You were working all weekend and now you've got a friction burn from all your hard work."
Earlier this month, The Sun On Sunday revealed Susanna had found love with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
