The X Factor’s Robbie Williams joins race for Christmas Number One with secret new song that will be released in three weeks

The former Take That star will be releasing new music for the first time in a year

ROBBIE Williams is to make a musical comeback and will attempt to win the coveted Christmas number one spot next month.

The former Take That star, who is currently appearing as a judge on The X Factor, has been working with French DJ Bob Sinclar on new music.

He is set to release a “funky” track called Erotico Romantico in the first week of December, according to the Daily Star.

Bob, real name Christophe Le Friant, told the publication: “We met at a charity gala by chance.

“I did a set for the audience; he came up to see me to say, ‘We have to do something together,’ I told him, ‘Let’s go.’”

Bob came over to London to record the song with Robbie and added: “It’s a little funky. It’s not disco but it’s quite slow, and it’s very festive with violin arrangements.

He said: “It’s good to make music with the heart and this is where people say to themselves, ‘Bob Sinclar, he does not follow trends – it makes us discover new sounds.’”

Robbie, who is an 18-time BRIT Award winner and has sold 57 million albums and 11 million singles worldwide, recently announced he would be starting a Las Vegas residency.
