NOEL'S HOUSE PARTING

Noel Edmonds vows to QUIT his five-decade long showbiz career if he wins I’m A Celebrity

VETERAN presenter Noel Edmonds has vowed to quit TV for good if he is crowned King of the Jungle in the new series of I’m A Celebrity.

The Sun can reveal the presenter, who will be the sole late arrival for the series, has used positive thinking technique Cosmic Ordering to visualise a win.

He was overheard saying: “I said in my pre-interview that if the nation votes me King of the Jungle I will leave television for good.

"A wonderful inducement for the nation to have peace and tranquillity at last.”

Noel, 69, has been a near-constant presence on the box for five decades.

His TV hits include Top of the Pops, Multi-Coloured Swap Shop, Noel’s House Party and Deal or No Deal.

But he said he intends to quit the UK for good following the conclusion of his court fight against Lloyds Banking Group next year.

He is suing the bank, which owns HBOS, after he fell victim to crooked staff at a branch in Reading.

Noel claims it led to his firm Unique Group collapsing a decade ago and is suing Lloyds for £300million.

He claims that is the amount the firm would have made if “evil bankers” had not ruined it with “crippling fees and interest charges”.

But Noel’s ongoing legal struggles left him on the brink of suicide.

He has now identified New Zealand as the country he wants to relocate to.

Noel had already used cosmic ordering to ensure he celebrates his 70th birthday there next month.

So when he was offered a £600,000 deal to take part in the show Down Under he agreed to sign up.

A friend said: “Whether he wins or loses, Noel will celebrate the milestone birthday on a beach in New Zealand with his wife Liz Davies.

“He believes this is another victory for the cosmic ordering philosophy.

“But he didn’t believe it would actually be possible until he got the massive offer from ITV.”

Noel will use his time in New Zealand to weigh up whether he really will permanently relocate next year.

The friend added: “He loves the people, landscape, attitude to life and the diversity of nature, and he sees it as his future home.”

“But right now, Noel is celebrating the fact one cosmic order has come back.

“He hopes it will make him King of the Jungle as well.”
