Jessie J reveals she refused a hysterectomy and vowed she ‘will be a mother’ after doctors told her she’d never conceive naturally
JESSIE J said she refused to give up hope of having children naturally and told her fans she'd even refused a hysterectomy - despite doctors' orders.
She released the emotional statement to her fans just days after her heartbreaking message about infertility.
The 30-year-old said she would fight against the odds to have children and admitted she “believes in miracles.”
Referencing her previous admission, Jessie told her fans on Instagram: “After explaining the meaning of my song ‘Four Letter Word’ on stage during this tour.
“The love and support I have received have been overwhelming. Thank you.”
She then added: “I was told four years ago I won’t be able to have children. I was also told I would need a hysterectomy immediately and to be put on medication.
“I refused the hysterectomy and I’m off all medication through natural medicine and diet change. I haven’t given up hope. I am doing all I can to make it happen the best way my body will allow.”
“It’s taken me a long time to be open. It’s my truth. And when I put it in my music it’s out there.”
Her message also showed Jessie reaching out to others going through the same thing as her.
Jessie added: “My journey is just one in millions that exist. I stand with you ladies.
