She shares the news with Martin –James Bye - and the conflicted fruit and veg sell does his best to support Ruby and she thanks him for his help.

But later, while speaking to Jay Brown, Ruby spots the front page of the Walford Gazette and panics when she sees it’s reported the rape.

She isn’t named in the report but she still feels anxious and rushes home.

Things get worse for her later when she spots some horrible comments online which question her side of the story.

Martin tells his wife Stacey – Lacey Turner - about Ruby’s case and while Stacey tries to get hold of Ruby, Martin gets a message from Ross asking to meet.

Meanwhile Ruby is struggling with the nasty comments online and contacts her police case worker for some advice.

When the doorbell rings, she freezes in terror but is relieved to see it’s Jay.

She lets him in and the pair chat and Jay plucks up the courage to ask Ruby out on a date. What will she say?

Later Ruby and Stacey head to the Vic, unaware that Martin is there with Ross and Matt.

Ruby feels uncomfortable as the locals discuss the article in the paper and – unaware that it’s about Ruby – a debate kicks off about the issue of consent.

Things get even worse for Ruby when the other guy from the night out, Glenn, arrives and sticks up for Ross and Matt.

A furious Ruby confronts Glenn in front of everyone and it becomes clear that she’s the woman in the article, leaving her reeling.

The next day Ruby gets overwhelmed in the market and is rescued by Whitney Dean, and the pair have a heart-to-heart.
