REBEKAH Vardy claims there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and that the reality show may not be as real as it seems.

The star, 36, who is married to 31-year-old Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, says the series is heavily edited, with campmates being told what to talk about.

She says they also film some scenes more than once, with the celebrities being taped crossing the bridge to their tasks up to four times.

Businesswoman Rebekah appeared on the ITV show in 2017 and says she was surprised at how producers operate the series behind the scenes.

When asked what shocked her the most about taking part in I’m A Celeb, Rebekah told heat magazine: “How edited it is, even down to us walking to the trials. We had to do that walk three or four times.

“Any time that you see people sat around the fire, usually someone’s been called to the Bush Telegraph and comes out with a bit of paper and says, ‘We all need to discuss this topic.’”

Rebekah claims she did not feel any pressure to get in a bikini to shower even though the stars were apparently told they were not doing so enough by producers

Occasional Loose Women panellist Rebekah says that, whilst what viewers may see on screen might make the camp seem real, what the stars look out onto is all fake with cameras everywhere.

She said: “I lost count of how many cameras there are. Above your head, the cameras are on zip-wires, so they follow you everywhere! It’s crazy, it’s like Big Brother – you’re watched and listened to 24 hours a day.”

However, the minimal amount of food the cast get does seem to be real, with Rebekah saying they would have to be “on your last legs” to get anything extra than what they win or the basic beans and rice they are supplied with.

Meanwhile, whilst stripping down to a bikini or some sexy swimwear to shower in camp has given many stars’ careers a boost, Rebekah insists she did not feel pressurised to show off her body.

She said: “We all got a b**locking, because we weren’t using the shower enough. It was too cold, it was peeing it down with rain constantly, and I literally got a tick in the back of my neck the first night I got in there.

“And there were leeches everywhere, so no one wanted to strip down to any form of swimwear.”
