Katy Perry earns £65million to become highest-paid female artist in 2018 beating Taylor Swift and Beyonce
KATY Perry has beaten Taylor Swift and Beyonce to be named as the highest earning female artist of 2018.
The pop star pocketed £65 million in a single year, making her ninth top paid musician overall.
According to Forbes, the singer, 33, earned the huge sum from June 2017 to June 2018.
It's thought her 80-date tour was rather lucrative, while her spot as a judge on American Idol saw her handed a cool £15 million.
However, the addition to her bank balance came despite her latest album Witness selling just 180,00 copies in its first week.
This was in contrast to Taylor, 28, who shifted 1.2 million copies of her recent Reputation album in its first seven days.
The star is estimated to have banked £62 million to land her in second place.
Meanwhile, Beyonce, 37, came in at third with a £46 million top up to her fortune.
Also making the top ten were Pink, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Helene Fischer, Celine Dion and Britney Spears.
It comes as Katy and Orlando Bloom made their red carpet debut in September after dating on and off since 2016.
The couple, who rekindled their romance earlier this year, looked very much in love as they walked the carpet at the Gala for the Global Ocean at the Opera of Monte-Carlo in Monaco together.
Katy wore a tan-coloured gown, complete with sleeves that resembled the outer shell of a disco ball whilst Orlando, 41, looked sharp in a suit.
The famous duo have previously attended events together but they have never posed up on a red carpet before.

At one point the words “Lemme touch ur butt” flashed up when he turned around and she later could be heard saying: “Will you show me your trunk baby... turn around.”
Meanwhile, Orlando recently admitted that their romance came as a "complete surprise" to him but says they have a "remarkable connection".
He explained: "It is a very odd one. She's a remarkable human being, actually. Completely surprising, because I am not her demographic."
