Noel has taken charge in camp and has chosen two famous campmates to take part in today's Bushtucker Trial in addition to Malique and Rita, who were voted for by viewers
I'M A Celebrity’s Jungle Emperor Noel Edmonds and his advisers have chosen two of the shows contestants to take part in tonight’s trial.
The viewing public nominated Rita Simons, 41, and 20-year-old Malique Thompson-Dwyer to compete for stars in a bid to win food in the Drown and Out challenge, which will air this evening.
In scenes which will be shown tonight on ITV1, host Dec said: “Emperor Noel, as you know, the public chose Rita and Malique to take on today’s trial.
“Now, you must choose two gladiators to compete against them head-to-head. The winning team will win a place in your inner circle, meaning they will eat from the six stars that are up for grabs in today’s trial.
“They will also be exempt from all duties around camp.”
Noel, 69, teamed up with a select few of his fellow campmates – football manager Harry Redknapp, 71, singer Fleur East, 31, and Coronation Street actress Sair Khan, 30, who are already in his inner circle – to decide on another two famous faces to go through with the challenge.
Dec’s co-host Holly Willoughby asked Noel: “So, Emperor tell us, which two gladiators would you like to choose and why?”
Noel replied: “First of all, John [Barrowman], and the second gladiator, Emily [Atack],” which prompted the actress to burst out with excited, or perhaps nervous, laughter.
From the name of the challenge, it sounds like the two celebrities might need their swimming costumes.
It will see the contestant fighting to stay above water as their tanks are gradually filled up with the liquid.
However, there will also be some grizzly sea creatures joining them in the tanks.
