X FACTOR fans are in shock after Danny Tetley and Brendan Murray were axed from the competition last night.
The Benidorm pub singer and the Irish teenager won the fewest amount of public votes and were immediately eliminated from the competition just a week before the final.

Both said that the public hadn't seen the last of them as they thanked their mentors for their help on the show.
It means Days of Our lives star Ayda Field, who mentoring the Overs, no longer has an act for the final while her returning husband's group Acacia and Aaliyah made it through on the week he returned to the competition.
The Take That singer disappeared on a pre-arranged tour three weeks ago and had been replaced by Nile Rodgers for the live show's he missed.
But tonight he made his return and viewers were utterly shocked that he had reappeared.

Even his own wife, fellow judge Ayda Field was surprised to see him, telling him: "I'm in such a good mood, my husband is back."
She added: "Thank you for showing up, it's so nice of you to be here."
And fans flocked to social media to share their shock at Robbie finally being back on the judging panel where he belongs.
One shocked viewer wrote: "Oh Robbie's back! Though he left... #xfactor"
