Joe Sugg addresses cheat claims and admits it was tough being blamed for Dianne Buswell’s split
JOE Sugg has addressed ‘Strictly Curse’ cheat claims and admitted that being blamed for the end of his Strictly Come Dancing professional partner’s relationship has been difficult.
Dianne Buswell split from her Emmerdale actor boyfriend, Anthony Quinlan, in October – after ten months of dating.
Speculation soon grew that the pair’s relationship had fallen victim to the Strictly Curse – with the couple parting ways soon after the red-haired Australian was partnered up with vlogger Joe for the BBC One dance competition.
Speaking about the affect the rumours have had on him, 27-year-old Joe told the : “Obviously it’s a bit weird to be drawn into that stuff for me.
“It’s not nice – it’s something you can’t control.”
The star went on to once again deny that he is dating 29-year-old Dianne, adding: “There’s nothing in it – if we were dating everyone would see it.
“Rumours like this have gone on throughout the show’s history. I understood before signing up that it’s something people really get into.
“They think ahead and try to put people together.
“People love that kind of stuff but to be honest we haven’t got time to think about it.
“We’re busy trying to stay in this competition and do the best we can.”
Joe’s comments come just one day after he and Dianne were pictured looking cosy as they grabbed some food before heading back to his house.
Dianne was later seen carrying an overnight bag and a suitcase into Joe’s apartment.

This was also achieved by champs Caroline Flack, Joe McFadden and Ore Oduba.

Joe is the closest celeb to reach that mark this series, having scored 278 points so far.
He also managed to score 27 points on his first dance of the series, which is something previous glitterball holders Jill Halfpenny, Mark Ramprakash and Jay McGuinness have all done.
