KIRSTIE Allsopp has not replaced her kids' ipads after she smashed them in a fit of rage before the summer holidays.
The TV star, 47, insisted her kids Bay Atlas, 12, and Oscar Hercules, nine, left her with no choice other than to destroy the devices, after they continually ignored her screen time rules and played Fortnite.
She told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain today: "I smashed them and I haven't replaced them.
"The reality was pretty fantastic. And I kind of feel a bit boring for saying that but we had a much better summer. All that negotiation had gone.
"They couldn't say 'I'll do this if you let me have half an hour of Fortnite.' Or 'I'll read this if you let me do this.'
"We just did a lot more, they got back into their rollerblades and skate boards and were playing chess. We had a much better summer."
Piers said she was right to talk about her drastic action at the time, but asked Kirstie why she quit Twitter after she was slammed by the Twitter mob.
She replied: "The thing is Piers you go into these things and you genuinely enjoy it.
"I do stand up, I don't back down, I say the truth but I don't deliberately go into [feuds].
"I think when you go into them by mistake the reaction is a shock. You go into it and you're really good at it."
Piers then reassured Kirstie and said: "Take them on. Don't let the flame throwers get you down. I think your instincts as a parent are bang on.
"I like your fire storms I think they create a proper national debate.
"If you've ever got any problem with the Twitter mob send them my way. Because I love taking them on."
Speaking on Jeremy Vine show, Kirstie previously said: "This is the first time I've said this publicly. In June I smashed my kids' iPads."
She swiftly clarified: "Not in a violent way. I actually banged them on the table leg."
Explaining what drove her to such drastic measures, she continued: "There is a game called Fortnite and another [called] PUBG and I decided... we had made all sorts of rules and all sorts of times when we said you can't play them and all those rules got broken and in the end I said: 'Right that is it, I have to physically [break them].'
"It was remarkably easy. I didn't intend to speak about it but it's come up now."
Show regular Storm Huntley, 31, approved of the intervention, telling her: "I like that, that is my kind of parenting."
