I’m A Celebrity stars who most regretted signing up from Gemma Collins to Gillian McKeith

It isn't all fun and games for all the celebs who take part on the smash hit ITV telly show

APPEARING on I'm A Celebrity isn't everyone's cup of tea - as these stars will agree.

From Gemma Collins to Gillian McKeith, we take a look back at the stars who most regretted their time Down Under.

Gemma Collins

Gemma appeared in series 14 all the way back in 2014... but she struggled with life Down Under and quit after just a few days.

She said at the time: "People who murder get treated better than this. That’s the truth. Even a murderer gets fed three times a day."

She also convinced herself that she had contracted malaria.

The GC later admitted that she "never should have got on to the plane to go" and said that she would be donating her fee to charity.

Katie Price

Katie Price first appeared on I'm A Celeb back 2004... and she didn't regret that stint, because it's where she met now-ex husband Peter Andre.]

However, she returned to the jungle for a second time in 2009 - the same year she and Peter divorced. And it did not go well, as the public kept voting for her to do trials.

She reportedly said at the time: "There's only so much crap one person can take.

"The way I've been treated on the show by the viewers, you'd think I was the most hated woman in Britain."

Natalie Appleton

Natalie's plan to head Down Under was doomed from the start - because she has a phobia of trees.

She appeared on the show back in 2004, and became the second contestant to quit the series after she was voted to undergo a fifth Bushtucker Trial.

During her time on the show, she had to face her fear of heights, was dumped in 5ft-high boxes filled with slime and bugs,

She even had to eat fish eyes and kangaroo testicles.

Amir Khan

Amir appeared on the show last year - and was the seventh campmate to be eliminated.

His stint on the programme threw him back into the spotlight - and for the wrong reasons.

Shortly after stepping foot in the jungle, reality star Vicky Pattison shared a screengrab of an old tweet where Amir ruled out the possibility of appearing on the show – insisting it was for "has beens".

Spencer Matthews

Spencer appeared on the show in 2015, but was booted off.

He was a late addition to the campmates and hadn't entered the main camp - instead, spending time in Snake Rock - a separate camp away from most of the other celebrities.

He left the jungle relatively quickly after he was kicked off the show for taking steroids.

He said: "I hugely regret it. I have disappointed my family, friends and fans and would like to apologise."

Gillian McKeith

Gillian McKeith appeared on the show back in 2010 - and she became infamous for her constant "fainting".

She famously keeled over before a live Bushtucker trial - and many fans were convinced she was faking it.

At the time, Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder joked: “If that was real, so are my teeth. We get 12 meals and Gillian gets an Academy Award.”

Alison Hammond, who was also in the jungle with Gillian also spoke about the telly star's antics Down Under.

She said: "I’m not an uncaring person, but it was hard not to giggle when Gillian fainted

"‘I was so pleased because it meant we were going to eat."

Gillian has kept a relatively low profile since 2010, apart from stepping out onto the red carpet in the occasional ill-advised outfit.
