Piers Morgan’s mum tells him off for being ‘too mean’ says his Good Morning Britain co-star Charlotte Hawkins
CHARLOTTE Hawkins has revealed that her Good Morning Britain co-star Piers Morgan gets told off by his mum for being "too mean" to her.
The telly presenter made the confession to as she and Kate Garraway opened up about their colleagues.
Charlotte, 43, is used to getting a ribbing from her cheeky co-presenter Piers.
And she admitted he occasionally checks to make sure he hasn't crossed the line.
Charlotte explained: "From time to time, Piers will ask me if he’s taken it too far.
"But if he ever really upset me then he’d know about it straight away. Sometimes his mum texts him to tell him off for being mean to me!"
Her co-star Kate, 51, also spilt the beans on their fellow GMB host Susanna Reid and how she once gifted her with a very risqué present.
Kate explained: "My most memorable present was from Susanna."
"She got me a set of glamorous underwear.
"She despairs of the Spanx I wear so she tried to get me in something sexy!"
Though the TV stars may have been opening up to the publication about their behind-the-scenes relationships with their co-stars, this isn't the first time Charlotte has talked about her fiery relationship with Piers.
In August she revealed that she "lost" it with her cheeky co-host after he continually interrupted her news bulletin.
She told <agazine at the time: "Just recently he was having a cup of tea and he kept putting it in front of my shot and blocking me out.
"It was driving me nuts, and it was driving the director nuts who told Piers to stop doing it. Then he did it one more time and I lost it. He's like a child."
The interview also included Charlotte's fellow GMB stars Susanna Reid, 47.
The trio were asked who Piers annoys the most, and, recalling another recent moment when he barged her out of the way to win an egg and spoon race, Charlotte confessed it was her.
Charlotte said: "Probably me... or Susanna, but she keeps calm about it.

Susanna added: "I think I've just developed an epic level of zen.
"I see Charlotte about to do her thunder look and just think, 'Just develop the epic level of zen!'"
