PIERS Morgan says he can't wait to be fired from Good Morning Britain - so he can go and work for Donald Trump.
The telly star, 53, applied to be the US President's Chief Of Staff, so claims being let go from his current job - which he's held since 2015 - would be doing him a favour.
The former newspaper editor says he's "had a long, illustrious CV" and being sacked has always been beneficial for his career.
He said: "They give you a massive cheque and you go lie on the beach for a bit.
"It’s fantastic. I can’t wait for it to happen here and it will happen here. People love to try and fire me."
Co-host Susanna Reid said she thinks Piers should try and stay at GMB a little longer.
But he shot back, saying the reason everyone else sticks around is "because no one offers you a new one".
Susanna replied: "Because we don’t get sacked!
"I only say it because you mention yourself in your job application…"
Susanna then read out Piers' application.
She said: "You need someone whose reputation will not be remotely tarnished by working with you.
"And won’t mind in the slightest if you suddenly fire him. ‘I’ve been fired by big jobs before and always found it both character building and financially lucrative.'"
Piers column earlier this week that he wants to work for Trump.

He said: "Dear Mr President, I wish to formally apply to be your new Chief of Staff.
"You might not immediately recognize what qualities I have for such a massive job in your administration, especially following a hugely respected war hero like General John Kelly.
"But the key thing is to have someone at your side that understands you, has known you a long time, likes you and commands your respect."
