Lisa Armstrong ‘feels betrayed as she’s axed from BGT by producer she considered a friend’
Lisa worked as a make-up artist on Britain's Got Talent for a decade but it is thought it would be "untenable" for her to work close to ex-husband Ant McPartlin who co-hosts the show
LISA Armstrong was left devastated after getting the boot from Britain’s Got Talent as a make-up as she was sacked by a producer she considered a good pal.
The former wife of television presenter Ant McPartlin has worked behind the scenes on the ITV talent show for 10 years but she is not returning for the next series as her ex-husband Ant is returning as host.
And now, are reporting that Lisa feels her axing is a double betrayal as she was sacked by a producers who she considered friends.
Lisa even attended the wedding of an executive producer who The Mirror claims let her go from the show.
The insider said: “Lisa is spitting feathers at being axed - she's part of the BGT family and loved working there for over 10 years. For her to be cut off after so long is gutting.
"She's had a lot of input into BGT that viewers never got to see, like supplying props for games with Ant and Dec and doing lots more behind the scenes."
TV host Ant, 43, is heading back to work when BGT starts filming in a matter of weeks after taking nearly a year off to address personal issues with alcohol and prescription medication.
Lisa’s chop from the team came after it was reportedly thought it would be “untenable” for her to be working so close to her ex Ant.
Ant, who usually co-hosts TV programmes with long-time friend and professional partner Dec Donnelly, took time out to take care of himself in recent months.

The broadcaster checked into rehab after getting arrested for drink-driving following a car crash earlier this year.
He was replaced on this year's I'm A Cebrity... Get Me Out of Here! by This Morning regular Holly Willoughby, who stood in alongside Dec, but it has now been deemed suitable by ITV bosses for Ant to return to work.
