Venom sequel confirmed as movie bosses tease Spider-man cameo after £600m box office triumph

THE sequel for venom has been confirmed after its huge £600 million box office triumph as movie bosses tease a Spider-man cameo.
The news comes after the Tom Hardy movie dominated the box office and trumped the earnings of rival superhero film Wonder Woman.
It may not have been a critical success but it was a hit with Marvel fans worldwide.
And now the film's co-writer Jeff Pinker has confirmed there will be a second instalment, even teasing that the beloved Spider-Man character is set to make an appearance in the Venom sequel.
Speaking to , Jeff said: "I can't say anything other than that it is happening.
"Without revealing anything that I'm not supposed to reveal, it is not impossible a future, slash upcoming Venom movie Spider-Man will play a significant role."
The bombshell may not come as a surprise to die hard comic fans, who know of anti-hero Venom's close ties with Spider Man - the character had indeed made a brief appearance in 2007's Spider-Man 3.
He added: "I think it's fair to say that everyone involved would be very excited by a Spider-Man/Venom movie."
The film Venom is an origin story but the absence of Spider-Man obviously means the movie deviates from its source material.
Eddie strikes a deal with the creature sharing his body to only exercise its violent impulses on bad people.
Hardy admitted that he used UFC fighter Conor McGregor as inspiration because he "wants to have a scrap with everybody."
He told RTÉ Entertainment: "There was an aspect the studio wanted somebody who could fight, which they always do in these sort of hero movies.
"They want somebody who can have a scrap.
"Conor obviously wants to have a scrap with everybody, so that's useful.
"I don't think he'd be bothered, really.
"Conor doesn't strike me as the type of person who might be that bothered!
"It was not Venom: he was not based on him.
"There were more elements of Eddie Brock which needed to be pinned on somebody who's incredibly handy physically.
"And, obviously, Conor is incredibly handy physically."
The original film was given a £100 million budget but raked in a whopping £651.3m million at the box office, beating Wonder Woman's £560.3 million earnings.
