Joe, 27, has wowed fans of the BBC dancing show with his progress during the competition.

And his family said that while appearing on the series has helped with his dancing, it’s also made him more confident in himself.

His famous sister Zoella appeared on screen in a video message and said that Dianne had helped Joe “come out of his shell”.

She also spoke of the pair’s close relationship and said they got on “so well”.

After watching them, Joe broke down and was comforted by Dianne, who was also wiping away her own tears.

Speaking to the show’s host Zoe Ball, Joe said: “It's been such a big part of my life.

“My family said that he can barely walk in a straight line, let alone dance.”

Tomorrow night Joe will compete against Ashley Roberts and Stacey Dooley in the final of the competition.

Each will dance to win votes from the public, who will decide who should lift the Glitterball trophy.

All of this year’s stars – including Seann Walsh and Danny John-Jules – will return tomorrow night to perform in a spectacular group dance.

Kate Silverton, who was in training for the final show yesterday, told The Sun Online there was an emotional atmosphere backstage.

She explained: “Being back in training has been bittersweet because it's over, but it's been so much fun.

“We're all in a big chat and Saturday is going to be something very special!”
