Chloe Madeley and James Haskell swap wedding plans for a ‘traditional’ church ceremony after being inspired by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

CHLOE Madeley and England Rugby player James Haskell have officially married in a traditional winter wedding.

The happy couple tied the knot in a ceremony, which was inspired by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's own nuptials in May this year.

The blonde beauty explained: "James is a traditional guy and wants us to marry in a traditional setting.

"I think it was Meghan and Harry's wedding that inspired James to choose to get married in church.

"He sat me down and said, 'I can tell you why I love you every day but I won't get to make these vows unless we marry in church. I want to get married in a serious, historical ceremony.'"

"It was very romantic. Until then I'd assumed we'd just pop in to a registry office. Now, I find the thought of standing in front of him in church very exciting. I love him to bits."

The pair first started dating in 2014 and revealed their engagement earlier this year.

Chloe explained how James got down on one knee during a romantic break in Paris, leaving her speechless.

Shortly after their engagement, rugby star, James, 33, also revealed he would be splashing the cash and booking Craig David to perform at their wedding.

The couple were then spotted at Royal wedding this year as James is good friends with Harry through his rugby connections.

Chloe and James' ceremony was held at a village church in Berkshire.

Official photos of the wedding will be released on December 31.
