MICHAEL Smiley is best known these days for his role in BBC hit Luther and his part in cult classic Spaced.

Who is Michael Smiley?
Michael Smiley is a Northern Irish comic and actor.
The Belfast native was born in 1963 and grew up in Hollywood.
He later moved to London with his wife in his 20s and started doing stand-up in 1993.
He shot to fame for his role as Tyres O'Flaherty in Channel 4's Spaced.
From then on, he was in numerous television series and movies.
As for his personal life, he is married to journalist and broadcaster Miranda Sawyer with whom he has two children.
What television series and movies has he been in?
Michael has been in countless television series to date.
He has played DC Maurice Gibney in Murder Prevention, Phil Squod in Bleak House, Dr. Liam Kerwin in Wire in the Blood and Antoine in The Aliens among many others.
As for his movie roles, he is best known for his parts in Killy List (2011), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) and Tulip Fever (2017).
More recently though, his fans have been obsessed with the character he plays in Luther.
