HONEY G has been sacked from her job as a real estate agent after just 40 days, telling The Sun: “They didn’t realise how famous I am.”
The X Factor rapper, whose real name is Anna Gilford, started work at upmarket London estate agency Chancellors in North London last month, where she stunned staff by turning up in conservative dress and without her trademark sunglasses and hat.
But she was axed by bosses yesterday morning, who had given her an ultimatum to quit her hip hop ambitions and focus full-time on the property business.
Last night Honey G said she was “shocked” that she had “lost my new job as an estate agent”.
She added: “My boss had told me that he was expecting me to give up my music career which I am obviously not prepared to do.
“Music is my love and passion, and my ambitions are about being a worldwide music artist.
“I had no intention of being an estate agent long term. I was hoping that a big opportunity for my music career would come in. I do believe I belong on stage”
Honey, 37, is hoping that she will be booked for a pantomime next Christmas and go back on the road for a UK tour. She is also wanting to become a TV presenter.
And she promised: “I will be releasing new music soon.”
Honey G became a household name on 2016’s X Factor, with her bizarre performances and the catchphrase: “When you say Honey, I say G.”

She finished in fifth place and was signed by Simon Cowell’s record label Syco.
But she was axed when her debut release The Honey G Show flopped in the charts.
