Who is Priya Davdra?
Priya Davdra is an actress who's joining the cast of EastEnders in 2019.
This will be her first TV role.
She's previously starred in short films The Chapati Flower and The Colour of Milk.
In 2018 she also provided a voice over for the video game Hitman 2.
Who will Priya Davdra play in EastEnders?
Priya will play Iqra Ahmed who is the granddaughter of Mariam (Indira Joshi) and Arshad (Madhav Sharma).
She is joining the soap along with former Hollyoaks actress Rukku Nahar who will play her on-screen sister Habiba.
Priya said:“EastEnders was such a big part of my life growing up and I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the show.
"Walking on to the set for the first time was such an amazing experience. I can’t wait for viewers to meet the sisters and see how much drama they’re going to cause."
Lola Pearce, played by Danielle Harold is also set to return to EastEnders three years after leaving the square.
Producer Kate Oates has confirmed that three old characters will return to the soap but has reassured viewers that no-on will be killed off in order to make room for the new cast.
She said: "No-one will be going. I go with it when the story goes with it – I haven’t come in with a list of people to axe."
