STEPHEN Carter-Bailey has won the New Year edition of The Great British Bake Off - beating former champion Candice Brown after she made a lipstick cake which looked like a penis.
The 34-year-old former teacher won the Channel 4 baking show in 2016, beating Stephen in the process, but tonight it was his turn to triumph after impressing judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with his three bakes.
His showstopper was an illusion cake which looked like a telephone on a desk with a notepad and cup of coffee, and Paul was so impressed he gave him the first ever 'Hollywood Hug'.
Meanwhile Candice - who became known for her love of bright lipstick among Bake Off fans - made a huge red lip shaped cake and a matching lipstick.
However the shape of the lipstick looked much more rude to viewers at home, who took to Twitter to comment on the phallic shaped cake.
One wrote: "Candice's lipstick cake on #GBBO looks like a dog's d**."
Another added: "Has candice made a lipstick k***?" while a third tweeted: "Over-sized lipstick". That is totally gonna look like a d*** #gbbo."
Even host Sandi Toksvig noticed, saying: "‘I’m not a big fan of innuendo but… what is that?"
With a chuckle Candice replied: "I don’t know what you’re talking about? It’s lipstick."
In the end, the judges decided Candice hadn't done enough to retain her Bake Off crown and handed it to a delighted Stephen instead.
Paul told him the "flavour of that sponge was just divine" before adding: "The designs were unbelievable."
After the result, Candice told the camera: "I've learned Stephen is unstoppable when it comes to fondant and I've learned that i still love The Great British Bake Off.
"Of course it would have been nice to do the double but it's been great to be back."
