GREATEST Dancer star Pierre Lafayette-Marsh has appeared on FOUR different talent shows before - including Germany's Britain's Got Talent.

The 30-year-old, from London, will perform for Dance Captains Cheryl Tweedy, Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison on Simon Cowell's show when it kicks off on January 5th.

But he's already had multiple cracks at stardom and has danced on telly in German show Das Supertalent in 2014, as well as Sky One's Got To Dance in 2012.

He appeared in Channel 4's Streetdance XXL in 2011 and Move Like Michael Jackson in 2009, and danced on The X Factor, and with Diversity star Ashley Banjo.

He will be seen on screen, again, when The Greatest Dancer premieres on BBC One on Saturday, at 8pm.

A source told : "Simon Cowell likes giving people second chances but this is after a fifth chance!"

In a video he shared on his public Facebook page, Pierre explained: "My mission is to achieve the best thing I can achieve in my life. So I want to live it to the fullest.

"It's good to be motivated by others but also to motivate yourself ... there are days when it will be pretty tough but I'm going to be happy, because I'm trying, dancing, performing, presenting, I believe passion is power."

The BBC previously insisted the show welcomes dancers from all backgrounds.

A spokesperson said: “From ballet to jazz, hip hop to Bollywood, the show is open to anyone. Expect dramatic auditions, incredible challenges and remarkable live performances as dancers swing, swirl and sashay onto the stage each week in the hope of being named The Greatest Dancer.”

Meanwhile, Pierre's dance experience pales in comparison to team captain Cheryl's.

She's admitted she has a limited right to criticise the competitors on the The Greatest Dancer because she has “the least experience” among the judges.

Oti is a professional dancer on Strictly, and Glee’s Matthew is an experienced Broadway performer.

She told The Sun: “They’ve had really long careers in dance and in performing arts. Mentoring other people one-on-one like I did on X Factor might help me with the mentality of how things go. But in terms of knowledge and stuff, they’re more than qualified.”

Of her formal training, Cheryl said: “The thing I was probably most experienced with was I went to summer school at the Royal Ballet when I was nine... and now I’m like 35.

“So beyond a pas de chat I probably couldn’t tell them much more. I couldn’t tell a ballerina what to do. It was a long time ago.”

Cheryl hit headlines recently thanks to her interesting dance moves while performing her new single – in particular because she licked her hand as part of the routine.
