EastEnders spoilers: Dot Branning in danger as Stuart Highway reveals his true colours
She confronts him over his worrying behaviour towards her dying friend Dr Legg
DOT Branning looks like she could be in serious trouble in EastEnders next week as her lodger, bully boy Stuart Highway begins to let his mask slip and reveal his true colours.
As the week in Walford kicks off, Dot’s good friend Dr Legg is feeling uneasy around Stuart after discovering the vile thug stole a photo of his wife.
The doc tries to confide in Dot about Stuart’s actions but he continues to get his feet firmly under the table.
When Dr Legg finally manages to tell Dot about Stuart and the photo she confronts her dangerous house guest and demands he leave right way.
But he manages to manipulate her even more when she returns home and finds him pretending to search for the photo.
Dot and Stuart end up having a heart-to-heart – but how is that possible when we all know he doesn’t have one?
EastEnders fans are convinced that villainous Stuart – who is played by Ricky Champ in the BBC soap – will Dr Legg after some worrying scenes over Christmas and New Year.
Dr Legg has been staying with his old friend Dot as his health has deteriorated quickly. He’s suffering from pancreatic cancer and has refused to have life-prolonging treatment, choosing to die with dignity instead.
When Stuart discovered that the former Albert Square GP would also be moving in with him and Dot, he looked furious, leading viewers to speculate that he’s got plans for Dot – and Dr Legg doesn’t feature in them.
“So, are you staying over?" Stuart questioned during an episode that aired on December 29 2018. Dot replied: "Dr Legg has been a bit under the weather lately, so he is staying with us for the foreseeable future."
Looking at Stuart, she added: "You will have to sleep on the sofa."
Much to Stuart's disdain he then picked up the doctor's suitcases and began to walk away, but looked back for one more glance to show his disgust at the prospect of another house guest.
Many fans took to Twitter to voice their concerns about what they feared might happen to Dr Legg.
One wrote: "Oh dear Dr Legg is going to get in the way of Stuart's plans, easily solved he'll no doubt kill him off shouldn't be too difficult as Dr Legg is so frail. #Eastenders"
Another added: "Who thinks Stuart is gonna kill dr legg off!!?? #Eastenders"
A third concerned fan said: "Oh I really hope Stuart isn't going to kill Dr Legg #eastenders"
Dr Legg’s funeral will air in the coming weeks and it’s not yet known how he dies.
