Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley hints son Vinny’s dad ISN’T Paddy Kirk as she desperately tries to avoid spoilers on This Morning

EMMERDALE'S Lisa Riley hinted ex Paddy Kirk may not be the father of Mandy's son Vinny on today's This Morning.

The actress - who has returned to the ITV soap for the first time in 17 years - teased that fans might receive a shock when they learn who Vinny's dad is after many speculated Paddy was the father.

Viewers were quick to point out the physical resemblance between the pair when Mandy made her highly-anticipated comeback with her 16-year-old son on Friday night. 

But Lisa hinted there might be an unexpected twist in store for fans.

She enthused: "She's come back and she's not alone, she's a mummy. "

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield then did the math, explaining: "He's 16. You've been away for 17 years," before adding that Paddy was her character's last relationship in the Dales.

Lisa then teased: "But it might not be..."

The star also remained tight-lipped on whether her return would be a permanent one.

She said: "I can't say. For this story line, I can't say. Tonight I'm back and I'll start dropping a few hints. Tomorrow night's the hour-long special."

Friday night's episode was left on a cliff hanger, but The Sun Online previously revealed that Mandy will burst through the door as Marlon and Jessie's official wedding ceremony is getting underway.

Marlon and wedding witness Paddy Kirk – played by Dominic Brunt - are stunned by her arrival, and Paddy is left feeling awkward as his ex-wife Mandy takes her place beside him as the second witness.

But all hell breaks loose when Chas arrives and finds Mandy with Paddy.
