Cold Feet series 8 trailer teases life-changing moments for Adam and the gang

ITV have released the first look of its new series of Cold Feet, ahead of its return to TV next week.

The trailer teases what looks like life changing moments for Adam and his friends as they face the dramas of middle age.

The show has been off screens since 2017, so fans are delighted with the prospect of new episodes arriving on TV.

The teaser hints that Pete (John Thomson) and Jenny Gifford's (Fay Ripley) marriage will be tested when Jenny has a health scare.

Last month, it was revealed that Jenny endures a breast cancer scare in series 8, with actress Fay revealing to the Sun Online that it was a "weight of responsibility" filming the story-line.

The teaser also shows a Adam in a dramatic rescue when a man looks like he is drowning in the chilly canal waters.

Over Christmas, The Sun's Bizarre column chatted exclusively with actor James Nesbitt, who plays Adam in the drama.

James, 53, revealed the parallels of his own life with his character: "God, I’ve certainly put my family through some difficult times in the past. There’s not a million miles between me and Adam — as much as I’d like to say it’s been a stretch.

“I wouldn’t say I’ve learnt a lot from him, I would say he is influenced quite a lot by me. “I just don’t think men want to grow up as quickly."
