Lisa Riley leaves Emmerdale after Mandy Dingle fails to reveal Vinny is Paddy Kirk’s son – but reveals bombshell about the vet’s parents
The legendary character left the village just days after returning when she had told Chas and Marlon about the evidence she had found of Paddy's mum's affair with a wrestler called Bear
MANDY Dingle has revealed her secret reason for returning to Emmerdale - Paddy Kirk's dad may be alive but not who he thinks it is.
The legendary character - who is played by actress Lisa Riley in the ITV soap - left the village just days after returning when she had told Chas and Marlon about the evidence she had found of Paddy's mum's affair with a wrestler called Bear.
Unfortunately for Paddy he hero worshipped the wrestler who was having an affair with his mother.
He gushed to Mandy, Chas and Marlon: "It was more about my mum and dad. We spent the summers being proper little groupies and we'd follow him around on these tours.
"Sounds a bit tragic, doesn't it? My dad he could be difficult, he'd get depressed but once the wrestling started he'd come alive. Those summers were the best in my entire childhood."
Chas tried to steer the conversation to Paddy's mum, asking him if she liked the wrestling too.
Unknowlingly Paddy confirmed his mother's affair by telling them: "She did, she loved it, we all did.
"We stayed in these really cheap hotels but we didn't mind because me and my dad would get up first thing and go and queue up for ages and my mum would stay behind and get herself sorted."
Marlon's spit take didn't give Paddy a hint that anything was wrong.
And later in the episode Chas couldn't bring herself to tell Paddy what she had discovered about his parentage.
Meanwhile Mandy also appeared to confirm Paddy isn't the father of her son Vinny explicitly telling her family he wasn't, but as she drove off she gave a very different hint.
"It's not the end, it's never the end," she said getting into the car as Vinny asked why she hadn't told Paddy why she really returned.
"It wasn't the right time," she said as they drove off in their Porsche.
Emmerdale sources have confirmed to The Sun Online the door has been left wide open for Mandy to return to the village to reveal the truth.
