PIERS Morgan revealed that he was asked to fake his own death for a TV show - but declined the opportunity.
The Good Morning Britain host made the revelation earlier today, admitting that he didn't accept the offer because he "knew how people would respond".

Piers, 53, told his bemused co-stars: "I was once asked to do a TV show, it made me laugh, they said: 'Piers, we want you to fake your own death to see how everyone will respond'.
"I went: 'I kind of know how everyone will respond and I want to delay that as much as possible'."
The father-of-four went on to add that the production company did say that some people could be told that it wasn't real.
He continued: "They said: 'Obviously some people will have to know, like your parents and your children'.

"I thought, 'Oh, that's nice.'"
Earlier in the show, Piers dramatically warned his co-host Susanna Reid that he might be dying as he has been unwell for months.
He said: "I have now realised that I have been ill since the middle of October.
"I think I might be dying, literally. I might be dying.

A stunned Susanna laughed: "Well, I hope it's not your absence on the programme that first alerts me to the fact you've expired.
"I'd hope someone might have told us."
