EASTENDERS boss Kate Oates has announced a legendary character will return to the show in the spring.
The BBC soap is pulling out all the stops to rejuvenate the show for the new year with a host of explosive storylines and now, EastEnders producers have confirmed there is going to be a Walford icon making a huge comeback in the very near future.
Kate revealed: "I've got so much planned. 2019 is going to be a really big year, we've got some really big arcs for you guys.
"We've got a couple more secret returnees coming as well which I won't tell you too much about now.
"But I will tell you there's one coming back in spring that I'm really super excited about.
"It's for a really short stint but I think it's going to have a really huge impact and they're part of my big plans for 2019."
But who could be on the way back? We run down the three biggest potentials for a comeback...
The cries of Riccckkkkkaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy haven't been heard in Walford for far too long.
Bianca Jackson is overdue a Albert Square comeback more than almost any other character but even more so now with her daughter Tiffany Butcher being in serious danger.
She's become embroiled in a drugs gang and has been delivering drugs for evil Evie Steele.
It's only a matter of time before Tiffany is going to need saving and who better to do it than fearsome Bianca.
It was one of the most shocking exits in EastEnders history when Ben Mitchell left Walford.
There was no reason for him to leave the Square except for a hastily-arranged theft and a desire to see the world on his own.
The Mitchells have been looking a little thin on the ground lately and with the news Walford is set to open its first ever gay bar, who better to run it than Ben with the Mitchells behind him?
Her mother Michelle might have left Walford after an underwhelming return last year but there's always room for Vicki Fowler.
The daughter of Michelle Fowler and Dirty Den, Vicki was last seen in Walford in 2004 when she overheard her dad telling her sister Sharon about how he loved Sharon more than her.
It was confirmed in 2014 that she was living in Australia with Alfie's brother Spencer Moon and running their own bar.
Which is just where Sharon has been visiting...
