Gemma Collins threatens to quit Dancing on Ice after Holly Willoughby slams her diva backstage behaviour
The TOWIE star, 37, was 'in floods of tears' after Holly publicly condemned her backstage antics
HOLLY Willoughby yesterday blasted Dancing on Ice diva Gemma Collins — and the Towie star threatened to quit.
Gemma, 37, was “in floods of tears” after Holly publicly condemned her backstage behaviour such as delaying rehearsals by taking a nap.
She also left the studio 25 minutes before the end of Sunday’s live show as she was “bored” and missed 59-year-old actor Mark Little’s exit.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Holly, 37, said: “I love Gemma. I’m a big fan of hers. I love her on the show.
“But I do think there has to be a bit of professionalism that comes into any work you do, just a bit of pride.”
Co-host Phillip Schofield, 56, said Gemma — whose debut routine drew an extra million viewers — held up the “whole studio” on Sunday afternoon by “having a nap”.
A source said: “Gemma’s a nightmare but is getting away with it because producers know she’s the biggest draw.
“On the first show she told an exec she was the star so shouldn’t have to be in group performances or stand on the balcony to watch the others.
“On social media she makes out she’s pals with them but in reality she doesn’t care.”
A source close to Gemma said she left on Sunday because she was “exhausted” after skating and a 9am start.
They added: “She’s devastated by everything that’s been said about her and is threatening to quit.
"She’s feeling there’s a conspiracy to bring down their biggest star.”
Gemma and pro Matt Evers’ second dance is due to take place this Sunday on the ITV show.
