In an upcoming episode, Danny will be heard saying: "I'm a direct descendant from a saint. Saint Louis IX, who was the King of France in, I think it was the 12th century, I can't remember now.
"Yeah, he was a saunt. I think there's only 2000 saints ever, and he was allowed to have children - he had 11 children, and yeah, I've got his blood knocking about, so make of that what you will."
Danny's 26th great grandfather is the French King Louis IX, who was later made Saint Louis.
On hearing the news, the star said: "It's just so much to take in. I'm related to a Saint," before adding that it was hard to believe he had blood off such importance "coursing through my veins".
Danny Dyer's Right Royal Family airs on BBC One on January 23.
