SHIPWRECKED returns to E4 next week after seven years off air and The Sun can exclusively reveal the nine contestants battling it out for £50,000 prize money.
It's the Tigers versus the Sharks as the popular format is back but with a few surprise twists awaiting the hopefuls.
They won't have to worry about fashioning shelters out of bamboo shoots as the camp is already built with a shower, kitchen and toilet replacing the frightful long drop.
Strictly's Vick Hope, 29, is the voice of the reboot replacing former narrator Craig Kelly.
The show will go out every weeknight from January 28 for three weeks at a later slot of 9pm – allowing for more rude language and bust-ups.
About me: “I’m quite family orientated and the only place I’d been on my own was Magaluf and I was crying everyday for my mum. I’ve done a bit of modelling here and there. Nothing major. Just a few photo shoots. I am a hot head. I’m quite fiery. I think for anyone growing up on a council estate it’s going to be quite different to someone who has parents with quite a bit of money.”
About me: “I’ve met Justin Bieber. I’ve been out with him. It was a couple of years ago now. I met him, he was really sweet. I didn’t want to fan girl. I’ve packed 30 bikinis and I’ll be wearing them all. I’ll be the one throwing parties on the island. Hosting them and making sure everybody gets drunk.”
About me: “I’ve been approached for Love Island, Celebs Go Dating and The Bachelor. I spoke to them but realistically I’m not about airing my dirty laundry. Chances are you’re probably going to have a fling but I’m not about having a bird. I’ll wind a few people up and I get bored quite easily. I’ll probably go sharking. I’ll probably miss the Premier League most for starters and then music.”
About me: “I was in a band from 17 to 21 and I was managed by Geri Halliwell and Simon Fuller. It was the best time of my life. Going to Geri’s house every single day and rehearsing in her garage. I’d like to hope she will support me on the show. She is a bag fun. I’m quite OCD when it comes to cleanliness. I like to cleanse my face, moisturise, sit there and be in clean bedding.”
About me: “Definitely I’m up for a romance. If I meet the right person and we have a connection. What I want from this is to represent Chinese people on telly. There’s not enough. I’ve been a model for Arsenal Football Club and I did the ASOS World Cup kits too which was really cool. I’ve applied for ITV’s Survival of the Fittest and I got through to the medicals but heard nothing back. I’m dreading being without social media.”
About me: “It’s been a long year. My mum passed away four months ago and I was her primary carer so I was trying to do that and since she died I’ve been straight into organising my music festival. I signed up for this show to help get away from everything. I’ve been approached for shows like First Dates before but they weren’t for me. I’d be up for romance, it’s been a while since I was in a relationship. My dad would give me a slap if I had sex on telly.”
About me: “I definitely don’t get on with chauvinistic men. Everyone should be a feminist. I think everyone is a feminist, it’s just the world they don’t like. When it comes to love I don’t really mind who I go for. I’m more interested in people as individuals. If I fancy you, I fancy you. I wouldn’t have sex on camera, there’s no need. I wouldn’t strip off either, we’re literally going to be in bikinis the whole time so let’s leave something to the imagination.”
About me: “I’m adopted and originally from Malawi. I want to put Malawi on the map, someone else has to do it apart from Madonna. My mum doesn’t know I’m going on the show and my dad thinks it’s hilarious. I was wild at boarding school. I was smoking, sneaking out, drinking and sneaking boys in. I did it all. Sex on the school premises. I had sex right outside my school chapel and the worst thing is I think some parents saw.”
