Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid is ‘very happy’ with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish but STILL says she won’t get married
The 48-year-old Good Morning Britain host is dating the Eagles chairman
SUSANNA Reid has revealed she is "very happy" in her relationship with Steve Parish - but they won't get married.
The Good Morning Britain host, 48, found love again after splitting with the father of her sons in 2014 and finally opened up about their romance.
She said about her relationship with Steve, who is divorced and has two grown-up daughters: "It’s not a secret, but it’s private.
"I am very, very happy at the moment, but I don’t want to be married."
Susanna has said before that she is not a fan of marriage and admitted that her feelings have not changed, despite meeting the 54-year-old.
She added to : "No, no, no. I think the focus should be on the relationship ...
"I’ve never wanted it. I’ve never fantasised about the big day. It was never my ambition to be married."
Susanna also revealed how she puts up with her GMB co-host Piers Morgan in the mornings, and said she channels her inner "Zen".
The telly beauty said: "I have to find extreme Zen. To settle. To be always unflappable.
"My mantra is, 'Don’t take it personally, hold your ground, don’t let him railroad me and just keep smiling and breathing.”
The pair lost out on a prize at the National Television Awards last week to rival show This Morning, but Susanna didn't drown her sorrows with free booze at the glitzy bash because she ditched alcohol last summer.
She explained: "I used to love drinking — nice white wine, bubbles, prosecco.
"I used to love doing vodka shots last thing at night in the Groucho. I love margaritas.
"The only thing I didn’t like was red wine."
But she went on: "It [booze] adds the weight on.
"It wasn’t good for my skin and it’s not great for your memory and I just wasn’t willing to pay the price any more."
Speaking about how Piers has handled her lifestyle change, Susanna said: "He’s constantly, 'Oh, you’re no fun. Why don’t you just have a glass of wine, no one will know.'"
