Emmerdale spoilers: Dawn plots to kidnap Lucas after discovering he’s being adopted
The recovering heroin addict is floored to learn she might already have lost her little boy for good
THERE'S a shock in store for Emmerdale’s Dawn next week when she discovers plans to have her young son adopted are already in full swing.
Dawn – who is trying to stop taking drugs – is still struggling with withdrawal symptoms when her social worker tells her that the process to get little Lucas adopted has already started.
Poor Dawn – Dales newcomer Olivia Bromley - is floored as she realises she may never see her little boy again.
Inconsolable, Dawn lashes out at Harriet Finch for organising the meeting with social services in the first place.
She then heads out of the Woolpack, feeling absolutely worthless, closely followed by Ryan Stocks.
As Dawn breaks down in tears, Ryan tries to console her and encourages her to do whatever makes her happy and to fight for what she wants.
Back at home, Harriet – Katherine Dow Blyton - is shocked when she realises how determined Dawn is to get Lucas back – by any means necessary.
The following day, Dawn distracts the social worker and slips a photo out of Lucas’ file while focusing on his current address.
Back in the village, a concerned Harriet is concerned that Dawn didn’t tell Ryan the whole truth.
But Dawn, playing the victim, tells the vicar to back off. Which is unlikely, knowing Harriet as we do.
It was revealed earlier this year that Dawn and Harriet shared a secret past when Harriet was a member of the police force.
Working undercover, Harriet was in a relationship with Dawn’s dad and grewclose to little Dawn, seeing her as a daughter.
When the case ended Dawn thought Harriet, who she knew as Michelle, had abandoned her not realising she was working undercover on a sting.
