SHIPWRECKED fans were left baffled this evening as they accused the show of turning into Love Island.
The programme, which is supposed to be a battle between islands, heavily featured a romantic element tonight as two handsome newbies arrived.
As soon as the lads’ Sam and Troy arrived, the topic of conversation turned to who fancies who.
It wasn’t long until the boys were going off to get to know individual girls, in a similar style to the ITV2 dating show.
As night fell they decided to play a game of spin the coconut, which resulted in a number of snogs.
Newbie Sam got really stuck in before he admitted he fancied both Kalie and Daisy, while Troy admitted he fancied Big T.
Daisy meanwhile snogged both Sam and Troy, admitting she really enjoyed it.
Those watching at home were not impressed though and took to Twitter to comment on it.
One person wrote: “Why has #Shipwrecked turned into Love Island? More interested in “finding love” than fending for themselves.”
A second commented: “Why is it all about who they fancy and who they find attractive? It's not bloody Love Island! #Shipwrecked.”
While a third remarked: “This is more like love island and i am annoyed. The old #Shipwrecked was about survival and the strongest team.”
Elsewhere on tonight’s episode Josh announced he was leaving after his granddad fell ill.
He decided to give his play to Troy, who had lost out to Sam when getting picked for a team in order to stay on the island.
