Noel Edmonds and wife Liz Davies’ relationship started in the TOILETS on Deal or No Deal
The 70-year-old presenter's wife had a picture of Noel pinned on her bedroom wall as a child, as she admits to having a soft spot for "hairy" things
NOEL Edmonds revealed he met his future wife Liz in a TOILET on the set of Deal Or No Deal.
The 70-year-old presenter first laid eyes on his spouse on set of the game show in 2006, when she was working as a make-up artist.
The star revealed the pair instantly had a connection when they met in the toilets of the production.
Speaking on Loose Women about their romance, Noel said: "It was 11.06am on October 6 2006, I remember that. In those days Deal had not really taken off."
Liz - whose full name is Elizabeth Davies - swiftly added: "It started off in the toilets."
Noel clarified: "My dressing room was a toilet."
Liz went on to explain how the couple may not have met, or married in 2009, if she hadn't accepted the job on the programme.
She explained: "I was running the department and when Deal first started they asked me to do it, but I didn’t want to do it because I was juggling other jobs.
"I got my friend to do it, but she was offered a commercial. I covered for her and agreed to do it for three days.
"When we met it was extraordinary."
Noel - who has daughters Charlotte, Lorna, Olivia, and Alice with former partner Helen Soby - insisted it was "love at first sight" between the duo.
While Liz admitted she had always had a soft spot for Noel ever since she was a child, as she had a poster of the Noel's House Party star pinned on her wall.
The beauty expert - who is almost 20 years Noel's junior - shared: "When we met I knew he was, I had a picture of him on my wall when I was little."
Noel then quipped: "She told me she had a poster on her bedroom wall, and I was between The Wombles."
To which Liz - who has two sons Harrison and Cameron - quipped: "My love of things hairy were deep stemmed."
Noel was previously married to Helen and Gillian Slater before finding love in Liz, but he insists he met his partner at a time he was looking for love.
He gushed: "I did want to find love in my life. I had gone through a very difficult and challenging time. I knew Liz was there before I even turned around."
