Emmerdale spoilers: Amy Wyatt returns as social services investigate her son Kyle’s home life
The missing teen’s mum Kerry is determined the family won’t lose custody of the little lad and decides to search for his mum
AMY Wyatt's return storyline will begin in Emmerdale next week as social services look into her son Kyle’s home life.
Fans of the ITV soap know the little lad is currently living with Amy’s mum Kerry Wyatt after she took him away from Butlers Farm where he was living with dad Cain and Moira Dingle.
And next week Cain’s daughter Debbie – Charley Webb - issues a stark warning to Kerry, telling her to keep Kyle out of Cain’s life.
This leads to Kerry – Laura Norton - having a meeting with social services, determined to get custody of little Kyle.
But when her partner Dan Spencer points out that they might not be first choice for custody, Kerry decides it’s time to find out where Amy is and get her to come home for her son.
Kerry quizzes Eric Pollard about Amy’s whereabouts and ends up breaking into his barn looking for answers. But will she find them?
It was announced last month that teen tearaway Amy would be heading back to the Dales with a new face.
Amy will shock ex Cain when she comes back to the village – but this time, will not be played by Chelsea Halfpenny.
Instead, The Sun Online revealed the rebellious teen will be played by newcomer Natalie Ann Jamieson.
“I’m incredibly excited to meet all of the talented cast and crew at ITV’s Emmerdale,” Natalie told The Sun Online.
“I feel very lucky to be joining the cast of such a loved and respected show.
"I’m very grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to find out what the future holds for Amy!”
Viewers last saw Amy in 2013 when she fled the village to live in Ireland – leaving son Kyle with Cain and his mum.
Amy got pregnant with Cain after they had sex in an attempt to make David Metcalfe jealous.
Amy briefly considered an abortion before deciding to keep the baby, but put him up for adoption.
Amy kidnapped Kyle after his adopted parents died, and went on the run, but returned the baby to Cain and fled the country to avoid going to jail.
