Furious Shipwrecked winners STILL haven’t got their £50k prize… months after show finished filming
The winning team is unhappy that they haven't seen any of their prize money yet
THE Shipwrecked winners are furious they still haven't received their share of the £50,000 prize five months after filming wrapped.
Viewers watched as The Tigers were crowned winners of the E4 reality show on Friday, in a tense finale where the deciding factor lay in the hands of four newcomers.
The quartet were forced to pick a team, with the side with the most members at the end of the show being crowned the winners.
Tigers were drawing with Team Shark until the last minute, when newbie Brad chose to side with them.
The team were told that they had the opportunity to steal all of the money from the other members of the team, otherwise they would split the £50k evenly - giving each of the 11 Tigers around £4,500 each.
But despite leaving fans disappointed after none of them stole the money from each other in last week's finale, sources say that the Tiger's still haven't received their share of the split prize money.
A source told The Sun Online: "The islanders still haven't got the £50,000 prize money.
"The Tigers know how it works but they're not happy - it's been months since they left the island and 'won' the cash.
"It's several grand each so it's a fair chunk of change.
And it seems that despite coming off the island to a minor celebrity status, some contestants are still waiting for their big payday from winning the show.
The source added: "All their friends now think they're quids in but they haven't seen a penny of the winnings yet."
However, a representative for the E4 show told us that all the winners were already made aware that they wouldn't receive their prize money until after the show had finished airing.
They told The Sun Online: "As is standard for many TV competitions, the prize is awarded after transmission.

"All participants are aware of this condition prior to filming as part of the terms of taking part in the series."
The show saw the group of castaways struggle to survive on the tropical island as they competed against each other to win a cash prize.
While Channel 4 is yet to have started the recruitment stage for the next series, based on the success of the show's return it will no doubt be soon.
