Jack Whitehall’s ‘fat joke’ about Jesy Nelson at the Brit Awards and ‘four chins’ jibe leaves viewers convinced he was targeting Little Mix star

LITTLE Mix fans were left reeling last night as they insisted that host Jack Whitehall made a "fat joke" about Jesy Nelson.

Brit Awards viewers took to social media to admit that they'd been left "uncomfortable" following the "awkward" exchange - with Jesy opening up about being fat-shamed in the past.

Partway through last night's live show, Jack joined the former X Factor winners at their table for a chat.

Speaking about the girlband's fans, the 30-year-old comic turned to 27-year-old Jesy as he said: "One of your biggest ones is sat right here... Jesy, you're looking nervous."

He then moved on to Little Mix's longstanding feud with outspoken TV presenter Piers Morgan, continuing: "Piers didn't like it when you stripped off naked, but voluptuous breasts and four chins, it must be like looking in a mirror for him."

Flocking to Twitter, stunned fans accused Jack of targeting the beauty.

One tweeted: "So is everyone going to ignore the fat joke Jack made about Jesy or..."

Another added: "Did Jack just call Jesy fat?! Coz I can’t see any other reason why he would say the biggest member?!"

A third said: "Did Jack Whitehall just call Jesy ....... fat ....... ????"

Jack further embarrassed Jesy when he brought up her tonguetastic PDA with Love Island's Chris Hughes in a kebab shop last month.

Fans weren't the only ones to accuse the star of fat shaming last night, with Piers also taking to his social media account to lash out at both the girl group and Jack for the segment.

The 53-year-old star retweeted the clip and wrote: "Shocked and disappointed to see @LittleMix LAUGH as @jackwhitehall fat-shames me on national television.

"It’s just this kind of public negative body image mockery that the same @LittleMix campaigned against and of which I am now a victim.

Taking an additional swipe at Jack, Piers then added: "And as for chins, at least I’ve got some, you chinless little weed @jackwhitehall."

Jack went on to grill Jesy on what she had to say about "dutty wasteman" Piers, with the stunned beauty refusing to answer as she scolded the star for his comment.
