Game of Thrones season 8: Sansa Stark will wear armour for the first time as the Lady of Winterfell prepares for battle
Sansa Stark's new wardrobe could be a major hint about the plot in the final series
SANSA Stark will wear armour for the first time in Game of Thrones season 8 hinting that not even the Lady of Winterfell will escape the epic battle against the White Walkers.
Sophie Turner has revealed that her character will be getting battle ready in the final series of the hit HBO fantasy drama.
Sophie, 23, said she wanted to give Sansa a "warrior" vibe after years of wearing pretty dresses.
"This is the first time I’ve had armour," she told
"We [like] the idea of it being very protective and she buttons herself up. I wanted her to have a bit of armour and be a bit more warrior like. She's like the warrior of Winterfell."
The costume hasn't yet been revealed in any of the teaser photos or footage.
Sansa's look has evolved with her character over the years.
She initially wore the drab colours of the North but adopted the style of royalty when she moved to King's Landing to marry Joffrey Baratheon.
After she was rescued - or abducted - by Littlefinger she dressed in dark colours to reflect her dark mood.
