Taking to social media earlier today, Channel 4 announced the start date alongside a picture of show judge's Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, and hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.

The snap was followed by a teaser clip which shows the celebrities in action for the fundraising special, captioned: "Take 20 brave celebrities. Add one Bake Off tent. Sprinkle liberally with catastrophe and mayhem. Serve and enjoy. The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off. Starts Tuesday 5th March at 8pm on @Channel4 #GBBO."

In the clip, the show teases the celeb's good and questionable baking skills, ranging from Georgia Toffolo's tin foil hat and Michelle's excited squeals, to Rylan and Caroline's machine mishaps.

Following the announcement, fans of the show flocked to social media to express their excitement about the return of the show.
