Soap fans raced to Twitter to complain about the ongoing storyline as Maya led the teenager upstairs to bed - and planned to have sex with him
EMMERDALE fans said they "can't watch" as paedophile Maya Stepney kissed topless Jacob Gallagher after persuading him to have sex with her.
In tonight's episode the sick teacher stopped herself from bedding the 15-year-old schoolboy, but only after the pair stripped off in his room.
Maya - who is dating his dad - spotted a picture of Jacob and David on the teenager's shelf and suddenly changed her mind.
But later, as his family discussed plans for his 16th birthday party, she whispered to him that they will try again.
She told him in the Woolpack pub: "Building up to it is the best bit. I'm not going to let this pizza and pop party be the highlight of your birthday.
"Let me give you a night to remember."
Viewers were left outraged by the uncomfortable scenes and took to Twitter in their droves to complain.
One fan said: "this peado storyline needs to stop #Emmerdale it's making me feel sick @ITV"
Another person write: "Ok so I've had to turn over"
One more agreed and moaned: "Can't watch"
And another fan called it "cringe", writing: "This Maya storyline is very uncomfortable viewing...... feel sorry both both having to act these parts ....cringe cringe"
Fans fear Maya will go through with her plan as moments after they kissed in his bedroom, Maya told Jacob: "Actually, let's not do too much yet, it could be fun for us to wait a while, the more we hold off, the more amazing it will be."
Meanwhile, viewers fear the sick teacher will kill Jacob's new girlfriend Liv Flaherty after she spied on them kissing.
Liv (Isobel Steele) previously told her brother Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) that she is asexual, but she has become close to Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) and begins to sense something is up between him and Maya.
