The star said she gave up smoking in 2010 after her daughter Lauren gave her an ultimatum

The Birds of a Feather star’s decision to take up smoking again might come as a surprise to some as she revealed she had gone years without a cigarette in a previous Mirror interview.

She estimated she smoked around 20 cigarettes a day starting from when she was around 12 but curved the habit at the age of 34 after a series of family health scares.

Linda’s mum Rita had two smoking-induced heart attacks and her dad Bobby died from lung cancer.

She admitted she’d stayed off cigarettes until her 50th birthday but took up a 40-a-day habit just a week later.
