CHRISTINE McGuinness is recovering from a biopsy in hospital after being "in lots of pain" for the last year.

The model, 30, sparked concern among her fans last night as she shared a snap from her hospital bed, and now it's been revealed she'll require more treatment to overcome long-running health issues.

A source told The Sun Online: "Christine has been in a lot of pain for over 12 months. Right now her consultant is looking in to a pain management plan for her while she’s awaiting a proper diagnosis.

"While the health professionals have reassured her, there’s still a lot of concern as to what may be causing her symptoms and what the underlying problem is.

"Christine had to defer her first operation which made her condition worse. More treatment will be required following yesterday’s operation and she’s awaiting important biopsy results.

"This has been a major wake up call for Christine and she knows she has to slow down and prioritise her self more."

Last night Christine gave a faint thumbs-up in a shocking selfie.

The model wore an oxygen mask after being struck down with a mystery illness on Thursday night.

She posted the pic on Instagram - where she told followers "don't worry".

But her caption still left some fearful for her well-being.

The mum-of-three, married to TV funnyman Paddy McGuinness, wrote: "Please hear me when I say 'I am very well so please don’t worry' I just had a little snooze, honestly it wasn’t long enough.

"But whilst I’m lay here, I’ll take a selfie and send a little reminder to stay strong.

"Be kind always, you never know what people are dealing with behind their smile."
She did not go into details about her health.

The worrying snap came just a day after Christine looked in rude health wearing an eye-catching dress on a night out in London. And last month she took part in one of her sexiest photoshoots to date, going nude wrapped in bedsheets.

She was pictured flashing a beaming smile while dressed in a plunging silk tiger-print frock.

Her health fears also follow an inspirational post to round off 2018 where she told of her body confidence.

The reality TV star was left heartbroken last February after husband Paddy and All Saints star Nicole Appleton were seen “cuddling up” on a night out in London.

She said: "I started 2018 feeling very weak, broken and worthless.. I’m leaving 2018 feeling happy, healthy and strong.
