LOOSE Women viewers slammed Lauren Goodger for defending her decision to edit social media pictures.
The former Towie star, 32, was called "ridiculous" after telling the panel she would not to stop manipulating her online snaps because she felt "under pressure to look good".
The TV personality - who has come under fire for editing her pictures in the past - explained: "I'm under a lot of pressure in my job so with what I do you want to make yourself look better all the time because you're constantly scrutinised.
"I'm under pressure, I'm that young girl who's under pressure.
"So a lot of people look at me and say, 'You're influencing young girls,' but I'm also that girl that's getting influenced."
Lauren also said editing her pictures before posting them online had become an "obsession".
But while the Loose Women understood the star's point of view, viewers at home quickly blasted Lauren for adding fuel to the fire.
One tweeted: "Editing photos just causes young people to try to aspire to this madness. They are all living in an unrealistic world. No wonder they are all suffering from anxiety and depression. So sad."
Another said: "So says she won’t stop editing her pics. No wonder girls are insecure about their looks because they are chasing an unrealistic dream and comparing themselves to something that doesn’t exist.
"Thanks Lauren for continuing to mess with people’s psych. Nice one."
A third ranted: photos look ridiculous.. must think we’re stupid if you think we think your pics are natural! Why not try something different and look natural.... much much better."
A fourth said: "Absolutely do not agree with editing your photos. Filters yes, but changing body shape to make you look slim is deceiving your followers and is not good for the younger generation and society in general."
