Emmerdale spoilers: Jacob sabotages dad David’s date with paedophile teacher Maya after getting jealous of their romantic night out

EMMERDALE'S Jacob Gallagher tries to sabotage dad David Metcalfe and Maya Stepney's relationship on tonight's episode.

The teenager – played by Joe-Warren Plant - is growing jealous of the pair's romance and is desperate to stop them from enjoying a date night together.

Jacob tells his dad that his ex Priya Sharma doesn't have a sitter for their daughter Amba when he overhears David's plans for a posh dinner with Maya.

David – played by Matthew Wolfenden - is then guilt tripped into having Amba instead of having his night out with Maya.

The teacher – who has been secretly grooming teenage Jacob for months – is furious and heads out on a mission to have sex with the teenager in the village hall instead.

But it's not long before David realises that Jacob has deliberately ruined his date night and he angrily heads off to the village hall to confront his adopted son.

It's a close call for Jacob and Maya as David very nearly catches them in the act.

Jacob panics and lashes out at David, accusing him of never putting his kids first.

David is hurt by Jacob's harsh words but he then finds one of Maya’s earrings on the floor and is immediately suspicious. Is the game up for the twisted teacher?

Emmerdale fans were left horrified earlier this month when Maya – actress Louisa Clein - passionately kissed schoolboy Jacob moments after he'd projectile vomited at his 16th birthday party.

It all started when Maya told Jacob that she didn't want to see him anymore and he decided to get drunk.

After drinking vodka he then decided to reveal some home truths to the partygoers but just as he was about to reveal all about their illegal affair,  he was sick all over the floor.
