Emmerdale in massive blunder as Chas Dingle becomes six years younger
Fans have realised that if her real age was 41 then that would mean she gave birth to her 27-year-old son at just 14 which contradicts what was previously said on the show
EMMERDALE has been accused of making a massive blunder by making Chas Dingle six years younger.
The Woolpack landlady - who is played by actress Lucy Pargeter in the ITV soap -was meant to have been 20 when she had son Aaron Dingle, but fans have noticed something intriguing after suspecting she was pregnant again.
They realised that if her real age was 41 then that would mean she gave birth to her 27-year-old son at just 14 which contradicts what was previously said on the show.
It had been made clear that Chas was married when she gave birth to Aaron and was at least 20, making her 47 now.
One fan said: "Weird if so. Chas will have been pregnant 3 times in her entire life as far as we know, once when she was 14 / 15 (?) then again twice in her 40s."
A second answered: "Did Chas have Aaron that young? They give the impression that Chas was an adult when she had Aaron.
"I would think she would have been 18 at the youngest."
A third added: "Chas was married to Gordon when she has Aaron. In soaps they are known to age up or reduce age of characters to suit them.
"Chas was young when she had Aaron but not as young as 13/14."
Another said her age had been changed before on the soap, adding: "It's been changed, previously Emmerdale wikia stated Chas & Gordon married in 1991 & Chas had Aaron in 1992. Looks like Emmerdale has revised Chas' history again."
Other fans blasted the soap for the blunder, and said: "They really need to stop mentioning characters ages once they are grown it serves very little purpose and often times unbelievable."
Another said it "made absolutely no sense" and was "another production f*** up".
